In Climate Change and…, Dayna Reggero visits Paula Swepson and her old friends at West Marion Inc to explore the Appalachian foothill communities of North Carolina, where the devastation of Hurricane Helene is just one chapter in a much larger story. In places like West Marion, enduring struggle is not new, layering trauma upon trauma, each crisis intertwined. Yet, climate change and hope coexist. This community is building solutions, taking care of the place they love, and caring for one another. This film reveals the power of resilience, showing that even in the harshest realities, people will create a future where no story is forgotten.
