Tend and Keep is part of a new series titled "Caring for the Earth: Stories from Faith Communities" with Blessed Tomorrow. This seven-part series follows Dayna Reggero across the United States to 13 states listening to 30 powerful voices of Christian, Muslim, Indigenous, Baha'i, and Jewish faiths sharing deep healing wisdom, hopeful climate solutions, and creation care inspiration for our time. This film series is an impact campaign with seven episodes aligned with resources for deep discussions and action.
Episode 1: Tend and Keep: People of Faith Caring For The Earth
In this introductory film, you will meet the more than 30 powerful voices of Christian, Muslim, Indigenous, Baha’i, and Jewish faith leaders from 14 states, who are leading with hope, compassion, and courage. They share inspiring stories and hope for our shared future.
Episode 2: Called By Faith: How Will You Answer?
As people of faith, we are called to care gently for creation. This film asks us to examine our role in creation care. It features Climate Ambassadors Jane Laping and Rev. Margaret Brack telling their faith communities success stories.
Episode 3: Seeds of Fire: Building Resilient Communities
Communities across the nation continue to experience unprecedented climate disasters. This film features Bishop Francine A Brookins and Climate Ambassador Sarah Flint and invites us to explore how to build resilient communities today through shared stories of climate disasters.
Episode 4: Holy Water: Protecting What Connects and Sustains Us
Water is central to all human life and flourishing. This film features Rev. Carmelo Santos and Living Coast Ministry who invite us to preserve water, reduce plastic, and think beyond our backyards.
Episode 5: Climate Justice: Sacred Voices Rising
Climate Change affects minority communities first and worst, often leaving behind devastating consequences.This film highlights climate justice leaders such as Rev. Dr. Heber Brown and Bishop Teresa E. Snorton.
Episode 6: Healing Creation: Honoring Nature and Each Other
Restoring healthy creation is a multifaceted effort that requires us to go back to naturally occurring practices that promote biodiversity, encourage conservation, and prioritize native plants and practices. This film features Rev. Sharee Wharton and Dr. Rebecca Wiese sharing native plant and garden success.
Episode 7: Young Leaders: Creating Hope for the Future
Young people will be most affected by climate change. Examining how young people can lead on climate change, this film invites us to listen and let young people lead. It features Climate Ambassadors Christine Moffett, Gabrielle Irle, and Ellen Siegel lifting up youth voices in their communities.
